What do you buy a new baby for Christmas?
Well Fergus has been with us for a month now and we've just been trying to get used to handling two children. Shopping is a nightmare, one strapped to your chest and the other going nuts in the shopping cart. How my own and many other mothers did it in 1970 with no car I'll never know.
Needless to say, all Christmas shopping has been done on-line this year (mostly in the dead of night in-between feeds). at this stage, I've lost track of what I've bought. What do you get a newborn for Christmas? Well I searched long and hard and think i've found the perfect gift. I wish i had the talent to make it myself but that cudos has to go to an army of women in rural China employed by Anne Claire Petit and here it is.....

Introducing Fergus
Monday, 28 September 2009
It's arrived - (not the baby, the ribbon)!
Delivered safely at about 11.30 am on Friday and weighing just a few grams, my beautiful ribbon arrived.
I got straight to work creating my new line of lavender pillows in a vibrant orange and deep blue linen fabric.
As for the baby...well, I still have it in my head that we'll see the little one early, so today I'll be sorting out the bedroom to make room the Moses basket, that's new if my new linen fabric pile doesn't distract me!

The Countdown is on!
Today I had my last hospital appointment before our 2nd little angel arrives. Very very scary and also very exciting.
Of course this does mean that everything which needs done for my etsy store, xmas gifts and other sales need to take priority.
I'm awaiting some fabulous materials for said projects.....just a few that I'm especially excited about.......
Just one of the amazing tapes created by lillalotta. The post can't come fast enough!
I had the smallest piece of this elf ribbon and I can't tell you how long and how much trouble I've gone to to find it again. I just love it.
